veganuary tips
If you’ve been thinking about cutting back on animal products, or even going vegan full-time, then Veganuary is a great way to try it out without making a full commitment straight away. here are some of our team’s tips:
let us help! if you’re entertaining your friends and family and aren’t sure where to start, we’ve got it covered. our range of plant based boxes cover all the bases whether it’s a healthy brunch or substantial lunch, check them out here.
eat a variety of plant based proteins. our favourites are soya-based drinks and yogurts, tofu, tempeh, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds and grains.
don’t just reach for the ‘meat’ substitutes, there are a treasure trove of vegan recipes online that use fresh vegetables. we recommend bbc good food for easy to follow recipes with plenty of variety and if you’re a more seasoned chef, take a look at Ottolenghi’s vegan offerings.
do it together… try and persuade a friend, flatmate, partner or family member to participate in Veganuary with you. cook for each other, share recipes and tips and help motivate each other.
treat yourself! there are new vegan sweet treats hitting the shelves all the time and when our team aren’t digging into our hand baked goodies, they love to try the latest treats. Have you tried little moons passionfruit and mango ice cream or Tony’s chocolonely dark almond sea salt?
